What our Customers Say!
"The Trans Bolinas was received today and we are VERY satisfied.
Thanks so much for the beautiful work – and the ease of putting the
order together. "  -Miles, San Francisco

"Nestled in a unique, quiet street in Manayunk is the Bernard Katz
Glass Studio & Gallery. Where else can you peruse all the beautiful
wonders of Mr. Katz's glass creations and see the artist craft his
masterpieces in front of your eyes?! The Glass Studio is open to the
public and has periodic open houses with refreshments where you can
talk with the artists and see them in action. Thank you for enriching our
homes with beautiful vases and unique creations! "  -Jen, Jenkintown,
PA

"We have told everyone we know about our wonderful visit to your
studio. Meeting the artists who make the pieces we buy, and learning
how they came to do what they do and how their art has evolved over
time adds a human dimension that makes our collection that much
more meaningful to us. Every piece has a story behind it and we
remember them all."-Sheryl, Chicago, IL

Who We Are & What We Do:

At  Bernard Katz Glass, we offer a wide variety of hand blown glass from the widely acclaimed Tree Series to the
newer Sculptural Series. Using positive and negative space, the sculptural series combines a sandblasted layer of
transparent areas that diffuse ambient light for a soft glow, creating a dynamic contrast within the glass.

Bernard Katz Glass has established a dynamic yet distinct style that can be seen the world over-including in
Kenya, among the private collection of 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Wangari Maathai.

Bernard Katz has been the subject of interest in numerous books and magazines which have featured the artist
and his popular award-winning work from the Tree Series to the Newer sculptural series. As shown in World Art
Glass Quarterly
Fall 2006.

Bernard Katz Glass is Philadelphia's premier hot glassblowing studio and gallery located in the historic Manayunk
section.  Bernard Katz Glass has  been dedicated to the creation of hot glass for over 17 years.
